Inspirational Influences: My daughter Lauren, my Grandmother Ellorise Mitchell, my Father Charles Hill, and my wife Estela Hill
My purpose: To be able to learn all that I can from those willing to teach. To touch those who are willing to listen. To grasp all that I can from this life…and to lead my family to the promise land!
A Piece of Me: This is my take on respect: “You got to give it to get it.” That’s as simple as it gets for me. I don’t care who you are, there’s a much larger picture than the one that you have painted for yourself. In this age of materialistic status, staying humble and true to you is one of the hardest tests for a human being in our society. That’s why I’ve been fortunate enough to have recognized what my main purpose in life is: To bring back together and preserve my family. All of the material riches that I may seek do not even cast the smallest of shadows over this searing determination to keep my family tight. 12:50 is my family.
People get into the music business and forget what it’s all about: the music. The person that’s creating the music is the instrument that the music is using; not the other way around. Music is an entity in itself and the entity is in you, ya’ dig?! Music makes you think. It makes you realize how big of an ass you’ve been to your Ol’ lady. It makes you think about how little time you’ve been spending with your daughter or son. Music can send you into a state of euphoria that no drug or man-made aphrodisiac could ever accomplish. And yes, it does make you angry! Yes, it does piss you off sometimes. But it never makes you hurt, or disrespect someone. That’s on you, dog! One Love, Bhudda
